Ostapenko, who was seeded number one in the tournament and ranked 16th in the WTA, lost to Ukrainian tennis player Dajana Jastremska (WTA 79) in the quarter-finals 6-3, 5-7, 5-7.
For reaching the second round, Ostapenko earned 30 WTA points and a $ 3,800 cash prize.
