ÖSK’s Draw Streak Continues: Another 0-0 Match Against Gais

The fourth of June, almost two months ago, was when ÖSK last won a game during this year’s season. Then it was 2-0 at home against Gefle, and tonight ÖSK cruised again when they played 0-0 against Gais. It was ÖSK’s fourth straight game in a row that ended in a draw.

The first meeting between ÖSK and Gais ended with a 4-0 victory for the Gothenburgers. Even tonight’s match was initially supposed to belong to the guests, but apart from a good press, Gais didn’t get anything investigated in the first half. ÖSK had an intense period at the end of the first where they put real hard pressure through several corners, but they didn’t get a payoff.

In the 63rd minute of the match, Gais Niklas Andersen received a red card, but despite having one more man on the field, ÖSK never managed to take advantage of the chance. In the final minutes, ÖSK’s pressure was enormous, but there were never any really good finishes. ÖSK is still in the qualification spot, two points down from the relegation spot but only one point up from safe ground.
