Orly airport announces lines to Algeria

Paris-Orly International Airport has announced on its website the reopening of many lines this summer to several countries, including Algeria. Traffic will change from the beginning of July depending in particular on the opening or not of the external borders.

Indeed, the Paris-Orly international airport could serve Algeria as soon as the external borders are reopened. A deadline scheduled for 1is next July. The other destinations announced are Tunisia, Morocco, Albania, Germany, Croatia, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, the United Kingdom and, finally, Turkey. Air corridors that will reopen once these countries open their borders, the airport said.

To counter the spread of the coronavirus, Paris-Orly airport has implemented a series of health measures. No less than 7,000 posters and stickers to mark social distancing are affixed. In addition, 150 gel dispensers and 137 plexiglass are installed on the reception counters. A thermal camera also takes the temperature of travelers upon arrival to detect any feverish symptoms.

In addition, as of this Friday, June 26, air traffic resumed from Orly-3. Orly Aéroport specifies that “Orly 1, 2 and 4 will see their reopening possible as soon as demand increases”.

Note that only 8,000 passengers are scheduled for this first day of operation, or less than 10% of the usual traffic of 90,000 passengers on average. About 70 flights are planned for this Friday, against an average of 600 in normal times. The reopening of international borders will allow the airport to resume its usual rhythm.
