Microsoft and Moon Studios are announcing an improved version of Ori and the Will of Wisps for the Xbox Series X. The game will run on the new console in 4k resolution at 120fps and hdr. The studio also promises better audio.
The platformer starring Ori is running on the current Xbox One X in 4k resolution at 60fps, but that’s not without performance issues. Notably shortly after its release, there were complaints from players about frame drops and breaks in the game.
The much more powerful Xbox Series X should be able to run the game in 4k resolution at 120fps, the developers say. Players can download the update for free via Smart Delivery. In addition to better graphics, the makers also promise better audio. Whether an improved version for the PC will be released is not yet clear.
