Jonker about clash with England: ‘We have to put something right after Belgium’
“If we want to qualify for the Nations League Finals, we have to beat England.” National coach Andries Jonker of the Orange Women does not mince words. After the 2-1 defeat against Belgium last Friday, the pressure is on for Jonker’s players. England comes to the Galgenwaard in Utrecht on Tuesday evening.
The match against World Cup finalist England is also a reunion with former Dutch national team coach Sarina Wiegman. Jonker is looking forward to it: “Sarina knows us like no other. The players and me. It will be a fight, we have to put something right after the defeat against Belgium.”
