With the upcoming launch of the Xbox Series X-Konsole gamers are becoming more and more familiar with the term “Optimized for Series X” see. This is a badge that Microsoft certain Xbox One games granted, which have been meaningfully improved for the next-gen console. In a new post on the Xbox Wire newsfeed, Microsoft explains what the badge really means and why it means more than basic improvements for Xbox fans.
The basic principle of Microsoft is that “Optimized for Series X“ means the title “Uses the full power of the Xbox Series X”. Many games are inherently improved by using only the stronger performance of the console. Relatively few will get a complete overview of what has been improved from the game’s developer. Microsoft goes even further and says that for Xbox Series X optimized games were either developed “natively” for the console or “completely” rebuilt to use the new hardware.
Was Optimized for Series X means specifically, lies with every game developer. Microsoft lists some technical advances that games will make as part of the effort. Minimizing or removing load times, improved graphics, ray tracing, and improved frame rates of up to 120 frames per second are some of the biggest changes that can be made.

It should be noted that this is for Series X optimized branding not only for Xbox One-Spiele is intended to be brought to the new console. It is also intended for games that are native to the Xbox Series X were developed. Microsoft lists Halo Infinite as an example of a natively created game as well Gears 5 as a previously released game that will be improved for the new system.
To complete the function, Microsoft lists all currently confirmed Optimized for Series X-Titel on. There are currently 22 games on the list. Many were shown during the May Inside Xbox event, which was about showing third-party releases for the next-gen console. Funnily enough, there are only two first-party games on the list. These are Halo Infinite and Gears 5. The rest include many cross-gen games that will be playable on multiple platforms. We’ll probably get the rest of it in July, when the exclusive ones Xbox Series X-Spiele to be shown.

Specific improvements to the Xbox Series X for each game, of course, are described in more detail at the start of the upcoming Microsoft console.
