In addition to launching the Reno8 quartet, Oppo will also launch its first tablet in Indonesia, namely Oppo Pad Air. This tablet will be one of Oppo’s newest internet-of-things (IoT) devices to be released this month.
The Oppo Pad Air itself was first launched in China last May. Now three months later, Oppo has officially brought it to Indonesia.
“So this is the first Oppo tablet device, of course we provide a tablet with quite extraordinary power, we don’t play around in terms of tablets, especially the choice of processors because the Pad Air uses Snapdragon 680 4G,” said PR Manager Oppo Indonesia Aryo Meidianto at the Oppo Reno8 event. Aryo admits that Oppo is a little late in entering the tablet market in Indonesia. But Oppo took the time to see what the needs of the tablet market in Indonesia were and how the target market was.
Unlike most tablets, Aryo said the Oppo Pad Air will be sold in one package along with a stylus, keyboard, and protective case. This concept is believed by Aryo to be the advantage of the Oppo Pad Air in attracting consumers in the country.
“We don’t want to sell tablets, ‘Oh come on, this is our momentum to sell tablets’, we don’t want to be like that,” said Aryo.
“Why? Back to the target market, the target market is a bit more advanced than the tablets on the market. So, it can be used for children but it’s not like that for children,” he continued.

As an IoT device, Oppo Pad Air designed to be a complement to Oppo phones. This tablet is equipped with smart features such as Quick Connect and Multi-Screen which makes it easy for the tablet to connect with the cellphone.
Oppo Pad Air itself carries tempting specifications. This tablet is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 chipset and carries a screen with a 2K resolution. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM with up to 128GB of internal memory.
It is not known whether the specifications Oppo Pad Air in Indonesia will be the same as with the Chinese market or slightly changed. Oppo will reveal the full specifications and prices of the Oppo Pad Air in an online launch that will be held on August 15, 2022.
In addition to tablets, Oppo will also launch two new IoT devices, namely the true wireless stereo (TWS) duo Oppo Enco Air2 Pro and Oppo Enco Buds2.
