Notice to art lovers: the Charles Thierry Conceptual Art Gallery opens its doors this Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. for its opening preview.
“We have been maturing this project for several months, explains Alexandrine Raison, the artistic director. The concept consists of making the gallery available to artists, designers and local producers.“
The space spans two levels: the first is dedicated to exhibitions, while the second should host literary cafes and other cultural events.

For the opening, the Charles Thierry gallery is hosting around fifty original works, in black and white, by photographer Charles Santérian, winner of the Mostra Fotografica in Perugia, gold medal for the artistic prize of the Marseille bar association and winner of the international meetings of photography in Arles.
“This project has a professional and personal connotation for us, because the works exhibited are those of Charles Santérian, the father of my spouse.“, explains Alexandrine Raison. The exhibition also pays tribute to the artist, who died recently.
Finally, for the artistic director, this project is part of the cultural dynamic of the city: “Bastia is now developing on the cultural theme, and we believe that this gallery fits perfectly into this logic.”
