OpenAI CEO Sam Altman fired

The CEO of the American company OpenAI, developer of the ChatGPT neural network, Sam Altman, has been dismissed. The company’s board of directors concluded that he had not always been forthright in his interactions with the board, which interfered with his ability to carry out his duties, the company said in a statement.

The ChatGPT chatbot was launched by OpenAI almost a year ago and quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention to the possibilities and future of artificial intelligence and humanity.

Since Altman’s resignation, several more senior employees have announced their departure. His place will be temporarily taken by the company’s technology director, Mira Murati.

American media sources have suggested that Altman will create a new company where he will work with former OpenAI employees.
