Open Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts: day ticket

As part of an on-site appointment, Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality, presented the expanded guidelines and hygiene measures in practice at the Steigenberger Hotel Munich on Thursday. “In the past few weeks, we have repeatedly tried and revised the new hygiene concept. Even now, we are constantly adjusting so that we are well prepared for the reopening. The entire team at Deutsche Hospitality is eagerly waiting for us to be able to open our hotels to guests again. ”

Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts will start reopening its hotels in Germany in May. Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts will start on May 25 in Bad Homburg, Bad Neuenahr, Bad Pyrmont, Petersberg, Braunschweig, Bremen, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Heringsdorf, Jena, Cologne, Leipzig and Zingst.

This will be followed by the Steigenberger Inselhotel in Constance on May 29 and the Steigenberger Hotel in Munich on May 30.

From June 8th the Steigenberger Hotel Dortmund and from June 10th the Steigenberger Hotel Bad Wörishofen will be welcoming guests again. The opening of the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof, Steigenberger Conti Hansa Kiel, Steigenberger Hotel Berlin, Steigenberger Hotel Metropolitan, Hotel Fürstenhof Bad Pyrmont and Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg is planned for July 1st. The Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg can be booked again from May 15th.

The Steigenberger Berlin Chancellery, the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt and the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam were open all day for helpers, crisis teams or urgent business trips. Here, the company has been able to further develop the catalog of measures with hygiene standards in recent weeks.

Presentation of the new standards

Together with Oliver Schäfer, General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel Munich, Thomas Willms showed how the arrival process with distance control and the new hygiene standards works. Other areas included the restaurants, guest lifts and the conference floor. Here the two presented what a possible occupancy of the premises with predefined distance rules could look like, since there are still no precise specifications for the state of Bavaria. A guest room was adapted so that decorative pillows, writing utensils, bathrobes were removed, the TV remote control and glasses in the room and bathroom were disinfected after use and packed in a paper bag. Despite the reduction of some utensils in the room, these can of course be reordered by guests at any time.

With the reopening, plans for a milestone birthday begin: In autumn, Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts celebrates its 90th birthday. “We stand in a long tradition of German hospitality. Today, guests all over the world associate the name Steigenberger with luxury and perfect hospitality, ”explains Thomas Willms.
