While most of the stores have closed since the start of containment, some major brands have decided in recent days to reopen, in the form of a drive. The goal is simple: the customer orders his product on the Internet. He chooses his withdrawal store. Once the product is available, he is alerted and can pick it up at the opening hours indicated.

Health regulations observed
On site, the health regulations imposed to fight against the spread of Covid-19 are observed. Barrier gestures, masks, gloves and hydroalcoholic gel for staff, first; but also physical contact avoided as much as possible.
DIY signs, Castorama, Leroy-Merlin and Brico Dépôt, got there first. They were followed by Fnac, which offers this service in five stores in France, including none in Normandy; Darty with 37 stores, including six in Normandy; and Boulanger who wishes to extend its service to 70 stores by mid-April.
“The idea is to be able to respond to urgent needs. We also want to prepare for the future, post-confinement, where this mode of deliverance will have its place while social distancing will certainly still be advocated ”, clarified at Parisian, Benoît Jaubert, director of the Fnac-Darty group.

Garden centers authorized to open in Seine-Maritime
In Seine-Maritime, the prefect of Normandy has also approved the opening of garden centers. “The opening of garden centers is not limited to the shelves of animal food products. They can open all their shelves, and what is true for supermarkets is true for garden centers. Namely that they must regulate the flow of visitors and enforce barrier gestures “, said Benoît Lemaire, the prefect’s chief of staff.
