The company Ziphius Therapeutics located in Oostkamp announced Tuesday its intention to market a vaccine against the coronavirus by autumn 2021, indicates the daily De Tijd.
The information was confirmed by the company’s CEO, Chris Cardon. The company says it has achieved promising results after several tests and plans to start human testing in October. The company would not start production on a larger scale until 2021. The first deliveries are scheduled for the fall of 2021. “We are in close contact with the regulatory authorities to update them on our progress. We are aware of the need imminent treatment for coronavirus and want to quickly anticipate a potential next wave of virus, “says Chris Cardon.
The company also says it wants to cooperate with other Belgian companies to further develop the vaccine.
