Oops! Xiaomi Black Shark 6 Goes for Sale in China – Sky News

We have to agree that there is something strange about the Black Shark situation. Well, we are already in the month of March, and there is still no indication of a new smartphone series from Black Shark. In the past year, the company has always kicked off March with a flagship of new games ready to be released. For now, we only have some rumors and no indication of a release date. In fact, some rumors point to multiple problems occurring at the company’s headquarters. Xiaomi’s gaming phone arm is going through hard times with employees and also has problems with product production. Despite this, it seems that the Xiaomi Black Shark 6 series will be launched, but there are no expectations for this release. Despite this, someone managed to put the Black Shark 6 on sale in China. Maybe an angry employee?

Apparently, someone has put the Black Shark 6 on sale in China. It was spotted on a Chinese used market – Youxianyu. Obviously, it’s hard to say if the final smartphone will look like this, or if this is just a prototype. We think this is a prototype, but it could be very close to the final product. The thing that isn’t even close to the final product is its price. It is set to sell at CNY 3,900 ($560). This is obviously much lower than the launch price of the Black Shark 6 or Shark 6 Pro.

Black Shark 6 – Design and key specifications

The alleged Black Shark 6 smartphone will feature a new camera island design. Moreover, it appears to come with a new leather finish for the back. It will bring some fresh air to the design language of the Shark 5 series. However, again, there is no guarantee that all of these changes will be in the final product. According to the listing, this variant has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. One curious fact is that it lists the phone with an old Sony IMX686 64MP camera. We know that photography is not the point of these phones. Still, it’s disappointing to see such an old camera sensor being used on a device that won’t come cheap. Hopefully this will be exclusive to this prototype. The listing also confirms 120W fast charging, which is in line with what Xiaomi offers for its more advanced devices.

So far, rumors have been pointing to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU and a 5,000mAh battery. The screen is not visible in the leak, but we expect it to be an AMOLED panel and achieve a high refresh rate, with 144Hz or even 165Hz. For now, we’ll need to wait for more details.

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro across the global markets. Now, rumors are swirling around the new flagship POCO F5 and the new Black Shark 6 series of smartphones. We are curious to know which smartphones will be launched first.
