Oommen Chandy diagnosed with pneumonia; transferred to the intensive care unit; Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inquired about the illness

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who was admitted to Nims Hospital in Neyyattinkara due to high fever, has been diagnosed with pneumonia. He was then shifted to the intensive care unit. Strict restrictions have been imposed on visitors. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan phoned the family members of Oommenchandy to inquire about his health condition. The Chief Minister assured the family members that Health Minister Veena George will be sent to the hospital tomorrow.

It was reported that Oommen Chandy, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, will be shifted to Bengaluru for further treatment. This is also in the context of Oommen Chandy’s brother Alex Chandy complaining that he is being denied treatment. But in the meantime, due to fever, he was transferred to the hospital in Neyyattinkara.
