OnePlus plans to introduce its first foldable smartphones in the third quarter of 2023. This is according to a statement from the manufacturer. They are probably two different devices.
OnePlus introduced several new products last week, including the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus Pad and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. During this introduction, the manufacturer made another interesting announcement. OnePlus will introduce new smartphones in the third quarter. The manufacturer did not provide details, but did show an image that read “Coming in Q3”. We see on the image clearly the contours of a foldable smartphone.
Earlier we wrote that OnePlus names OnePlus V Fold in OnePlus V Flip has recorded. The names suggest that these are smartphones that will compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 from Samsung. Whether OnePlus will introduce both smartphones at the same time is still unclear. In any case, it is good to see that more manufacturers are focusing on foldable smartphones. More competition results in cheaper prices for consumers and more innovation.
