More than 9,000 PCR tests carried out since May 11
In April, as the epidemic reached its peak, a territorial platform bed management in public and private establishmentss was in place. On April 14, systematic screening of residents of the Auguste-Ridou nursing home was achieved. Covid + residents were transferred to the 3rd floor of the establishment.

Drives set up
From August, new infections were identified among hospital staff. At the start of the school year, the drives set up for Covid screening in Eure Seine hospitals received more than a hundred people every day on the two sites, Evreux and Vernon.
Despite the performance of tests to identify Covid patients, the department has passed in the red zone, end of September and the white plan has been reactivated in hospitals: two Covid units have been created, one in pulmonology for severe cases and a second for patients in remission.
In November, 1,158 people were hospitalized, including 137 in intensive care, in Normandy and 30% of non-priority activities were canceled.
At the end of December, the vaccination campaign was launched and the first doses administered at the Eure-Seine Hospital Center, a pivotal establishment, from January 5 to health professionals, volunteers, aged over 50 or at risk of severe disease.
In vaccination centers in Vernon, such as the hospital here, 4,697 people received their dose.
