Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp users will be able to use one WhatsApp account on two phones at once. Wabetainfo revealed evidence about the presence of this feature later.
The page reports that in the WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.12.10.13 update, there is the ability to link accounts on secondary mobile devices. This feature allows the same account on more than one device at the same time, quoted Wednesday (11/5/2022).
Wabetainfo also presents screenshot the feature and writes WhatsApp is working on a companion mode or companion mode. So can link accounts on other devices.
According to the page, if the user decides to link the second device to another registered WhatsApp account, it will be logged out of the current account. With a note if you have two different WhatsApp accounts.
There are no further details about the feature, because it is still in the development stage. But Wabetainfo ensures that the mode allows users to link Android tablets.
The page also notes that, although the screenshot is from the WhatsApp beta for Android, the company is also working on the feature for the iPhone.
This mode is actually not much different from the Multidevice feature that WhatsApp recently launched. However, it is still only possible to use one cellphone and four non-mobile devices.
“Now sending and receiving messages without a cellphone must be online. Use WhatsApp up to 4 connected devices and 1 cellphone at the same time,” wrote a WhatsApp notification recently.
With the Multidevice feature, it allows users to still use WhatsApp on other devices when the main phone is offline. It’s different from before when the cellphone still has to be connected to the internet when WhatsApp is used on the desktop.
It’s not impossible, companion mode applies the same thing. So the WhatsApp account remains connected on another phone when the main cellphone is off or not connected to the internet.
