CJ CGV is one of the largest cinema chains in the world. As of November 2019, she managed 4051 halls in 560 cinemas in South Korea, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Burma, Turkey, the United States, and Russia. In 2017, she created a joint company CGV Russia with the developer ADG Group of the brothers Mikhail and Gregory Pechersky. The structure of the latter had previously bought at the auction from the Moscow government 39 old movie theaters, which it is currently rebuilding into regional shopping centers. It was planned to save the cinemas in 33 complexes: CJ CGV was supposed to open them.
