A man, a friend and a teacher we will remember !, wrote his colleagues from the Pediatric Surgery in “Pirogov”
One of the best pediatric breast surgeons and a national consultant in surgery for newborns and children under 3 years of age, Assoc. Prof. Minko Panov, died on October 9, his colleagues from the Pediatric Surgery in Pirogov announced.
“He devoted many years of his career to Pediatric Surgery – Pirogov. A man, friend and teacher that we will remember! Condolences to his family and all loved ones!”, They wrote.
Assoc. Prof. Panov graduated in medicine in 1967. Recognized specialty in general surgery – 1975, in pediatric surgery – 1977. Doctor of Medicine since 1986, associate professor of pediatric surgery since 1987. Specialized in Moscow, Poland, Hungary , USA.
He has participated in the writing of 6 textbooks and monographs on pediatric surgery, 37 publications in periodicals, 70 participations in symposia, conferences and congresses, 12 of them abroad.
Assoc. Prof. Minko Panov has 35 years of experience in pediatric surgery, of which 31 years are in the Clinics of Pediatric Surgery of MHAT “N. I. Pirogov ”. Long-term head of the Second Pediatric Surgical Clinic and the Department of Neonatal Surgery. Later he became the Head of the Department of Pediatric Thoracic Surgery.
