On Saturday, the Russian news agency TASS reported, citing an anonymous source, that the lower house of the Russian parliament (the State Duma) could deliberate on September 29 on bills to integrate parts of Ukraine annexed to Russia.
Russia began membership referendums in four occupied regions of Ukraine on Friday, prompting condemnations from Kiev and Western countries, which described the referendums as a farce and vowed not to acknowledge their results.
Voting will end on Tuesday.
