The tension on the battlefront intensifies as the weather conditions improve the visibility, viability and maneuver of the opposing forces.
On the contrary, the political environment is complicated, positions are radicalized and the conflict expands to other latitudes, managing to fragment the criteria, weaken the decisions and dilute the hope of reaching a ceasefire.
After a year of confrontations, it is not difficult to observe the devastation in the invaded territory, the desolation of the populations, the fields of one of the largest granaries on the planet now strewn with corpses. The war with all its manifestations and exposing to the maximum the capacity of the human being to destroy his fellow man with an impressive skill. Are we facing the

The proposal is the total destruction of the opponent’s will to fight, a decision that makes possible “the end justifies the means”; The massive bombardments, the launch of missiles, the destruction of critical infrastructure (power generation, drinking water distribution, the gas distribution network and telecommunications, among others) and the elimination of the adversary itself and its means of survival.
There are countless versions of the reason for this war; some try to legitimize the invasion by evoking the past and their circumstances, others invoke the bad treatment of the governments of the regions of Ukraine where their inhabitants are Russian-speaking, others go for the security of the red line of Russian territory and, finally, the loss of hegemonic power of the West headed by the United States and the polarization of power.
At this moment it is the least interesting. It is necessary to stop this unnecessary killing of humans. The prospective points to the proliferation of conflicts that were sleeping, alliances to achieve more destruction and thus end the planet and its inhabitants, if at some point the climax of the escalation of the conflict is reached.
We are facing a new unthinkable scenario, where tactical, operational and strategic concepts are undergoing transformation, there is a new dynamic of political leadership facing the challenges of the Hybrid War, with its new scenario, other interests, other threats that have not yet been they manage to visualize to prepare the leaders to face the phenomenon of war and its consequences.
The nuclear threat is just around the corner, it is something that cannot be ignored. The new weapons with artificial intelligence installed and with the ability to distinguish the enemy and shoot at their discretion make the battlefield a science fiction event that is not on the big screen, but a tangible reality. There is no limit to destruction in the full sense of the word.
The construction of the route towards peace becomes more complicated with each passing day; it is urgent to design a scaffolding that allows to start a safe independent path that is winding and full of obstacles of all kinds. Peaceful coexistence deserves everyone’s effort, there should be no excuse for not providing a comprehensive solution, the current war affects us all without a doubt.
The non-aggression pacts in the end survive over time (some are not fulfilled, others succeed) but with more than 2 thousand years of examples there is no need to repeat the mistakes of the past; It is necessary to assume the challenge of our time and bet on world peace, there is no alternative, before our planet and our existence are fragmented into pieces.
There will be no better times, if we do not take seriously the challenges of postmodernity and design a prosperous and secure future for the next generations. War is not the best option!
