The Latvian Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology has issued a yellow heat warning on the western side of the country and in Riga. Starting from Sunday, the warning about the air temperature rise to +27 .. + 30 degrees will also be valid on the eastern side of the country.
On Saturday, dry and sunny weather is expected, a slow wind will blow, in Vidzeme and on the coast of Kurzeme a moderate western wind is also expected.
In Riga, Saturday will be sunny and with a slow wind. The air will heat up to +27 degrees, but the maximum air temperature by the sea will be +24 degrees.
The weather is determined by the area of high pressure. Atmospheric pressure across the country is about 763 millimeters of mercury at sea level.
