The number of Covid-19 infections, admissions and deaths continues to decrease. The average corona figures fall by about 10 percent compared to a week earlier. That reports Sciensano.

During the past week, fourteen patients with covid-19 were hospitalized daily, down 10 percent from a week earlier. A total of 203 people are still in hospital, a quarter less than a week ago (268). Another 37 patients are on intensive care.
The admission figures therefore continue in the right direction. This also applies to the new infections, which average around 85 per day (84.7). A week ago, that average was even 10 percent higher.
An average of five patients per day died of covid-19 in the past week. In total, 9,761 people have now died in Belgium from the consequences of the new coronavirus: 4,895 (50 percent) in Flanders, 3,382 (35 percent) in Wallonia, and 1,484 (15 percent) in Brussels.
