The chief sanitary doctor of the Omsk region, Alexander Kriga, issued a decree on measures to prevent influenza, SARS and COVID-19 in the epidemiological season of 2020–2021. Recommendations were sent to all authorities. The resolution says that the mayor of Omsk Oksana Fadina and the heads of the municipal districts must resolve the issue of providing medical institutions with the necessary drugs, disinfectants, equipment, and personal protective equipment during the period of the rise in morbidity.

The Ministry of Health must assess the readiness of hospitals to work in the epidemic season by the end of August and report to Rospotrebnadzor on the degree of preparedness for an influenza epidemic on a monthly basis since August. Doctors are required to undergo training in assisting with influenza, ARVI, coronavirus and community-acquired pneumonia by September 7, and kindergarten and school employees must undergo training on preventing the spread of these diseases at the same time. In addition, they were required to assist doctors in vaccination, carry out a morning filter for children and prevent mass events.

In Omsk universities, it is recommended to prevent the accumulation of students in the halls, corridors, at the entrance to the classroom, to clean the ventilation systems and not to allow teachers over 65 years of age and / or with chronic diseases to attend classes.


From September, the Ministry of Health will introduce special questionnaires for emergency doctors and hospital admissions departments, according to which it will be possible to quickly identify patients with signs of influenza and SARS.

Rospotrebnadzor recommends to the authorities to introduce restrictive measures during the period of rising incidence. Including the suspension of the educational process.
