“This morning, racist insults were discovered on the photos of athletes from the Rio Games, placed on the outside grids of Insep in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes. The public establishment, which immediately noted this outrage, firmly condemns these acts and will file a complaint with the police, ”wrote Insep.
The word “Monkey” is notably written on a portrait of judoka Teddy Riner and a “nigga” is written on a picture of the athlete Dimitri Bascou.

“We will not bow our heads, we will not yield any ground to hatred, cowardice and stupidity. Today I bring my friendly and unwavering support to those who are personally attacked, “reacted in a press release the director general of Insep, Ghani Yalouz.
Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu described the acts as “ignoble and cowardly”. “The fight against racism must continue. Let us not let go of our vigilance. All my support for the athletes and those who feel dirty with these revolting behaviors,” she wrote on Twitter.
