Indiana Pacers back (or leader) Victor Oladipo announced to The Athletic that he will not be back in Orlando for the season so he can be on top form next season.
Victim of a rupture of the right quadriceps tendon in January 2019, Victor Oladipo returned last January and played 13 games with Indiana. But its assessment for 2019-20 will stop there. I feel good in my healing and I am close to being 100%. I have to be smart and this decision not to play was not an easy one, but I sincerely believe that continuing on the path I am in to be healthy in 2020-21 is the right decision for me, ”said the 28-year-old player, under contract until 2021 with the Pacers, at The Athletic.
The list of packages is growing
In 13 games and 26 minutes average, Oladipo had shot 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3 assists average this season. His absence will therefore harm the Pacers, who occupy fifth place in the Eastern Conference (39v-26d), even if they showed at the start of the season that they could do without him. The name of Victor Oladipi is added to the long list of players forfeited for the recovery, such as Davis Bertans, Avery Bradley, Thabo Sefolosha or Trevor Ariza.
