The incident occurred near the border crossing “Danube Bridge”.

At least one person has died after a tanker exploded in Ruse. This was confirmed by the emergency services for NOVA.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:00, in a company located near the border crossing “Danube Bridge”. The deceased was not the driver of the tanker, but the employee who was loading it.

Four firefighters arrived at the scene.

“There is no danger for the ecological situation, because the explosion occurred in the eastern industrial zone, in an enterprise that deals with fuels, oils and chemicals,” said the mayor of Ruse, Pencho Milkov.

“According to initial data, it is a question of filling with mineral oil,” said the boss. inspector Veselin Markov, head of the PBZN-Ruse railway station
