Engineer Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, said that in the next period the discovery of a new gas well called “Narges-1 X” in the Mediterranean Sea will be announced, in the concession area granted to Italy the companies Chevron, Eni and the Egyptian Tharwa.
This was stated during the statements on the sidelines of the eighth ministerial meeting of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum.
Tarek El-Molla, oil minister, added that reserve assessments, detection levels and a number of details are currently being studied in preparation for the official announcement by the oil ministry and Chevron.
