The Argentine league witnessed a strong shock, with the death of a fan in the clashes between police and fans, which caused the cancellation of Jimnasia’s match with Boca Juniors at dawn today, Friday.
Participation in the “Juan Carmelo” stadium, the stronghold of Jimnasia, was limited to fans of the host team, due to the ban on the presence of Boca Juniors fans.
The media indicated that the police closed the entrances to the stadium, for fear of crowding the crowd.
After police fired tear gas, 57-year-old cheerleader, Tsar Gustavo Regueiro, was killed, with a suspected heart problem.

Fans circulated on social videos from behind the scenes of the crisis, which appeared to have begun before the match began.
The photographers’ lenses observed a clash between fans and police in the vicinity of the stadium, before they entered the match stadium.

A number of fans were also spotted in large numbers in the ticketless stadium.
Local media quoted Buenos Aires Security Minister Sergio Berni as saying Gimnasia exceeded the agreed ticket sales ceiling, something the Argentine club denied.
“Nobody wants to take responsibility for it, so it all ends up in the hands of the police,” Bernie told TYC Sports.
