Officially, the government allows League 1 to run without spectators Page all

KOMPAS.com – Coordinating Minister of Politics, Justice and Security (Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs) Mahfud MD confirm that the competition League 1 2022-2023 is officially starting again.

This was communicated by Mahfud MD at a press conference regarding the continuation of the Indonesian Football League which was held at the Coordination Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Monday (5/12/2022) WIB afternoon.

The press conference was also attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali and the Chief General of the National Police Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Mahfud MD announced that Liga 1 has received permission to resume racing after being suspended following the Kanjuruhan tragedy on 1 October 2022.

However, Mahfud MD stressed that continuation League 1 2022-2023 take place without an audience.

“Representing Government with Mr. Menpora, Mr. Kapolri to convey Government policies regarding football activities after Kanjuruhan incident,” said Mahfud MD.

“The government once announced the football activities until it became clear, now the government has announced that the league will be completed on a pre-set schedule,” he said.

“PSSI will check this, the national police chief has ensured that in terms of safety, the completion of the football is allowed without spectators,” said Mahfud MD.

Mahfud MD also stressed that the reform of national football, especially PSSI, will continue according to the agreement between the government, FIFA and PSSI.

“At the same time, the reform of national football, especially PSSI, will continue in accordance with the agreement made by the government with both FIFA and PSSI,” he said.

“As for following the findings of the TGIPF (Joint Independent Fact Finding Team) are almost all ongoing,” said Mahfud MD.

Earlier, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of the competition announced that Liga 1 would be played again today.

League 1 schedule This afternoon, Monday (5/12/2022) contains three matches – Bhayangkara FC vs PSS Sleman, PSM Makassar vs Persikabo 1973 and Madura United vs PSIS Semarang.

After that, there is yet another competition loaded League 1 schedule today, namely Persita Tangerang vs Bali United.

The Persita vs Bali United match will take place from 6.30pm WIB or after the three opening games are over for the continuation of League 1 2022-2023.
