JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Price increase fuel oil (BBM) for Pertamax been in the spotlight recently. The effect also applies to consumer user Pertalite.
Party Pertamina has officially issued a regulation prohibiting the purchase of Pertalite type fuel using jerry can.

“In connection with the change in the status of Pertalite from Type of fuel General (JBU) to Type Special Fuel Assignment (JBKP), we hereby confirm that gas stations/distributors are PROHIBITED from serving the purchase of Pertalite with jerry cans/drums used for resale (retailers),” said Fedy Alberto, Region Manager Retail Sales Jatimbalinus, in his official statement.
Fedy added that the aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) must be the main concern of services at gas stations/fuel distribution agencies, considering that Pertalite is a gasoline type fuel which is included in the category of flammable goods.
“If there is a violation of Pertalite’s services, it will be given guidance/sanctions in accordance with the applicable provisions,” said Fedy.

The definition of JBKP is explained in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 191 of 2014 concerning Provision of Distribution and Retail Selling Prices Fuel Oil.
Pertamina guarantees that the Pertalite stock is safe as needed and there is no price increase.-
JBKP is fuel originating and/or processed from petroleum which has been mixed with biofuel as other fuel with certain types, standards, and qualities distributed in the assignment area.
As for Pertalite itself, it means that the government assigns Pertamina to distribute Pertalite in certain areas and is accompanied by the determination of a subsidized annual quota. Subsidies from the government to Pertamina are taken from APBN funds.
