Officially, Francesco Bagnaia Strengthens the Ducati Factory Team in MotoGP 2021: Okezone Sports

BOLOGNA – Ducati officially announced the presence of Francesco Bagnaia in the factory team for MotoGP 2021. That way, Bagnaia’s duet with Jack Miller will be seen again next season, but not in the satellite team but in factory Ducati.

Bagnaia was promoted to the factory team to replace Andrea Dovizioso, who had to part with Ducati at the end of this season. Dovizioso decided not to continue his long-standing partnership with Ducati.

The choice of Ducati to fill the place left by Dovizioso fell to Bagnaia because the racer had performed well in MotoGP 2020. In several series, the racer who is familiarly called Pecco looks able to compete for the podium until victory.

So far, the 2018 Moto2 world champion himself has once been on the podium in MotoGP 2020. This happened at the MotoGP San Marino 2020. In the race which took place at the Misano Circuit, Italy, Bagnaia finished second.

This sweet result was achieved by Bagnaia when it was found that her physical condition was not fully excellent. The Italian racer even had to walk using a cane after undergoing surgery due to a broken leg.

After the impressive performances in 2020, the 23-year-old racer is deemed worthy of the award for advancing to the factory Ducati team. That way, Ducati will also have young riders from its factory team next season.

“Welcome Bagnaia! Officially, Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia joins the Ducati Team for 2021. He will work closely with Jack Miller, “said a Ducati statement, as quoted on their official Twitter @ducaticorse, Wednesday (30/9/2020).

Until this news was made, it was not known exactly how long Bagnaia got the contract from Ducati. However, Miller himself only received a season contract to defend the factory Ducati team.
