FC Twente will immediately say goodbye to Jorn Brondeel. The Belgian goalkeeper is leaving for Willem II, club watcher Leon ten Voorde reports TC Tubantia.
Brondeel could not count on many playing minutes at FC Twente and was also one of the big earners in the selection. The Tukkers wanted to make room in the salary house. Brondeel has to compete at Willem II with Robbin Ruiter, who was taken over from PSV by the Tilburg team.
Brondeel made the switch from Lierse SK to FC Twente in 2017. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who still had a one-year contract with FC Twente, however, made an impression at NAC Breda, which hired him for one season from Lierse SK. He never became the undisputed number one at FC Twente.
Update, Friday 5 pm: FC Twente has now confirmed Brondeel’s departure. He has signed a contract for three seasons with Willem II.
