Microsoft is making a completely absurd success with its Microsoft 365 and Office 365, two subscription services that could very well be the future of the company, where of course, the second, already has more than 300 million active subscriptions. (It’s raining money!)
However, as the future continues to have some disadvantages for some users. There are still a lot of good people who prefer to have the always classic offline version of their essential tools. In addition, there are also users who don’t find it very funny about having to pay for a “service” every month, and as such, prefer to buy the software right away.
That’s exactly why Microsoft will release a new version of Office at the same time as it launches Windows 11 on October 5th. Make way for Office 2021!
Office 2021 will be released at the same time as Windows 11!
So, last year, Microsoft announced that it still hadn’t given up on releasing ‘final’ versions of Office. Which in turn gave hope to many fans of the old suite. This even though at the time, the mention was just a small line in a speech at the Microsoft Ignite 2020 event. But calm down! The North American giant has already announced that the new Office is on its way. In fact, it should hit the market hand in hand with Windows 11, on October 5th.
In addition, Microsoft will also make the LTSC channel available as of today, for commercial use, both on Windows and Mac. In other words, the non-subscription version of Office, which offers the essential features of the service. (A limited Office that works offline)
Interestingly, this is not (yet) the latest version of Office!
Despite the fact that Microsoft recommends the use of Office 365 to the vast majority of users, everything indicates that the American giant is planning to release at least one more ‘fixed’ version of Office in the coming years.
However, unfortunately, we still have no idea what the price of Office 2021 is.
