6 Obligors Respond to the Call of the BLBI Task Force, Including the Bakrie Clan

Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) Ministry of Finance conveyed that there were six obligors or debtors of Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) who fulfilled the summons of the BLBI Task Force on Friday (17/9).

Director of Legal and Public Relations of the Ministry of Finance’s DJKN Tri Wahyuningsih Retno Mulyani said there were six parties who attended the summons of the BLBI Task Force. Unfortunately, Tri is still reluctant to convey the contents of the meeting between the obligors/debtors and the BLBI Task Force.

The first party, debtor on behalf of PT Usaha Mediatronika Nusantara. Tri said the company owned by two brothers from the Bakrie Group was represented by Sri Hascaryo as a legal representative.

The BLBI Task Force summoned Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie and Indra Usmansyah Bakrie because both of them were in arrears of a debt of Rp22,677,129,206.

“The obligor/debtor on behalf of PT Usaha Mediatronika Nusantara was attended by Sri Hascaryo from the Bakrie Group who received power of attorney from Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie,” he said in a written statement, Friday (17/9).

Second, Thee Ning Khong who represented her son. The BLBI Task Force noted that Thee Ning Khong still owes Rp90.66 billion.

Third, also attended by The Kwen Le who still owes Rp. 63.23 billion to the state. Fourth, the debtor’s representative on behalf of PT Jakarta Kyoei Steel Works Ltd Tbk.

Tri noted that the company still owes Rp86.34 billion. Fifth, a debtor on behalf of PT Jakarta Steel Megah Utama with a record debt of Rp69.08 billion.

Sixth, a debtor on behalf of PT Jakarta Steel Perdana Industry who owed Rp69.33 billion. The presence of the six parties is a follow-up to the announcement numbered S-5/KSB/PP/2021.

The six obligors/debtors were summoned to the Syarifuddin Prawiranegara Building 4th Floor, Ministry of Finance on Friday (17/9).

“Agenda: Settlement of state collection rights for BLBI funds of at least Rp.22,677,129,206, in order to settle the obligations of ex-Bank Putra Multikarsas debtors,” said the Task Force in a summons in a newspaper signed by Task Force Chairman Rionald Silaban on Tuesday (13/9). ) this.
