The STORENERGY Congress wants to set an example for the professional exchange to shape an innovation-oriented future in the energy sector. Topics are storage technologies, network integration and the way into the decentralized future in order to use energy sources economically. On all days of the event, the focus is on technological developments, innovations in market models and the selection of building materials, taking into account the availability of resources.

Prof. Dr. Niklas Hartmann from the Institute for Energy System Technology (INES) at the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and member of the Scientific Advisory Board will start the conference as a keynote speaker on the subject of “Energy Systems of the Future”, of which the university is the premium partner with INES.

One of the speakers is Prof. Dr. Michael Schmidt from the Institute for Energy System Technology at the Offenburg University will be there. On the first day of the event from 11 a.m. he reports on predictive energy management for prosumers with electrochemical and thermal storage. The lecture gives an overview of existing methods and practical examples of how prosumers intelligently coordinate their own consumption and their own generation of electrical and thermal energy with the help of storage devices.

Also on the first day of the event, starting at 1 p.m., there will be a panel discussion on the subject of hydrogen at Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hochberg and Prof. Elmar Bollin from the Offenburg University are involved.

On the second day of the event, Kim Hanhee from the Institute for Energy System Technology at Offenburg University will present the results of a cost analysis for the use of an electric bus in local public transport in a city like Offenburg from 11 a.m. Starting at 12 noon, Parantapa Sawant from the Institute for Energy System Technology at Offenburg University will present the grid-reactive operation of a real polygeneration system with thermal storage.

Mehmet Yagci and Professor Dr. On the third day of the event from 11 a.m., Wolfgang Bessler from the Institute for Energy System Technology at Offenburg University will report on the investigations into the aging and service life of lithium-ion batteries for storing renewable energy in the Enerlab 4.0 at Offenburg University.
