Actually, the rapper and actor Massiv just wanted to open a kebab shop in Offenbach. But his ad campaign triggers a run on the business.

Offenbach – kebab for a cent and then also see rappers massively? Many Offenbachers will probably not have thought twice about that last Saturday (May 15th, 2021). They huddled close together in front of “Babas Döner” in Kleiner Biergrund in Offenbach, because that’s where the 38-year-old rapper and “4 Blocks” star, whose real name is actually Wasiem Taha, opened his kebab shop.

It is not the father’s first foray into the business world, on the contrary: In addition to two music labels, the Berliner now owns several shops and his own shisha tobacco brand. He already had the in January Opening of a kebab shop* announced, but still in Frankfurt at the time. This time too, Massiv had a lot of fun: he wanted to attract customers with a kebab for a cent and befriended rappers, Youtubers and Instagram starlets. In the past, he had also attracted massive attention through his purchase of Twitter followers.

Kebab shop opening in Offenbach: Massively fuels the hype about his business

The fact that the “hype” about the start of the kebab shop was “massive” in the truest sense of the word is an understatement. With a tongue-in-cheek promotional video, Massiv cranked the drum up for his “Original Berliner Döner”. Accompanied by music from a brass band, the rapper can be seen preparing doner kebab. The phrase “The world is more beautiful thanks to Baba’s kebab” was immediately made a cult by the fans.

What followed can be seen in the video by Youtuber and advertising video producer Mois. Because right from the start, crowds of young people gather in front of the store in the Kleiner Biergrund. Crowded together, most of them with a mask, but without any distance, they gather in front of the window, from which the employees gradually hand the kebabs out.

So it’s no wonder that the police will soon be paying a visit to the kebab shop. “The police are in a good mood, but when they are [da draußen] Carry on like this, they’ll blow the whole thing off right away, ”says Massiv, and the muscular man actually seems a little queasy. So he makes his way outside to make an announcement with the microphone of the police car, “The poor meat will be thrown away if you don’t follow the rules,” says Massiv and urges his guests to keep their distance and wear a mask .

Kebab shop from Massiv in Offenbach: Police confirm use, but no details

In an interview with Mois, Massiv shows no real understanding that he himself could have contributed to the situation. “We did good publicity, brother,” he says, however. “That is simply a highlight, also for Offenbach. There’s nothing going on in Germany at the moment. ”The police confirmed the operation to the Offenbach Post, but did not want to confirm any details when asked. It is also still unclear when the crowd broke up or whether the distance and mask rules were followed after the rapper’s announcement.

For Massiv, however, the day seems to have ended well. The Berliner enjoyed his own kebab in his own shop. Of course not without a Palestine scarf, without which the German of Palestinian descent cannot leave the house at the moment. In the past, he had repeatedly attracted attention with posts on his social media channels, which can at least in part be described as conspiracy theory. He is no stranger to Offenbach either: in 2011 he shared arrest warrant* triggered a large-scale police operation. (as) * fnp.de and op-online.de are offers from IPPEN.MEDIA.
