Offenbach The city pays most of the running costs in May and June.

The city of Offenbach pays childcare facilities in May and June despite the closings of further operating grants. In this way, the city wants to create long-term planning security for daycare providers,

For parents, this means that at least the municipal daycare centers will not collect money in May and June in the event that the facilities remain closed. This applies to both the parents’ contributions and the meal allowance. The payments incur monthly expenses of 83,000 euros, which go through the youth welfare office. The costs financed by the state are passed on.

Parents who use emergency care for their children will be asked to checkout. The emergency care is currently attended by around 400 children a day – in the first week after the day-care center was closed, the number was less than 100. However, the lost money for food and drinks will not be replaced.
