Offenbach district: Reading on 25 years of partnership with Kiryat Ono

“We don’t forget, we’ll go dancing” – under this title, Israeli and German authors tell of their present in an anthology. The book was published six years ago to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany.

This year the Offenbach district also celebrates the 25th anniversary of its partnership with the Israeli city of Kiryat Ono. The Neu-Isenburg City Library and the Offenbach district are now using the book as an opportunity to talk about today’s German-Israeli relations. The crucial questions: “How can the future of the two countries be shaped locally, what connects us and what do we absolutely have to talk about?”

The reading begins on Thursday, October 28th, at 7.30 p.m. in the city library at Frankfurter Straße 152. According to the announcement, the editors Amichai Shalev and Norbert Kron are introducing the book, District Administrator Oliver Quilling (CDU) and the Mayor of Kiryat Ono , Israel Gal, each present their favorite story from the book. The event will be translated into German or Hebrew.
