The contagions between health personnel and their close contacts are once again the focus of attention, according to the expansion of the health section last night, in which 32 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the city.
The Municipality provided some details of the latest positive diagnoses of Covid-19 and it was known that half of the confirmed, about 16 people, have any connection with health facilities.
These are: 6 workers “from different health institutions”, 5 patients from “a hospital” and 5 cases linked to the Psicopatología del Mar Clinic: 2 local workers, 2 residents and close contact of a confirmed case of the institution.
In addition, the latest SISA report confirmed Covid-19’s positive diagnosis of more cases related to different fishing companies from the city: a worker and 3 close contacts “of confirmed cases”.
On the other hand, among the 32 cases confirmed yesterday are the two new cases of the Santa Rita Parish: the Vice President of Cáritas and priest, Hernán David, and the deacon Juan Pablo.
Likewise, cases continue to grow from Covid-19 positive people for whom the origin of contagion is unknown. In this way, the commune confirmed 7 close contacts of confirmed cases that remain in epidemiological study and 3 new people for whom it was not yet determined how they contracted the disease.
In the latest SISA report, it was also reported that of the 32 new patients receiving coronavirus treatment, 7 remain hospitalized, 4 in the mental health institution and 21 in outpatient isolation.
