The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid inspected 52 Transport Vehicles with Driver (VTC) in an extraordinary campaign on the occasion of the ARCO Contemporary Art Fair.

Of the 52 inspections carried out, 24 of them ended in sanction, the majority for irregular customer recruitment.

In Madrid there are currently more than 6,000 VTC authorizations, with which it seems that 52 inspections in a fair of these dimensions, falls a little short.

The Transport Inspection of the General Directorate of Transport and Mobility of the Community of Madrid and the Municipal Police participated in the controls.

In January 1,430 vehicles were inspected, of which 494 were penalized.

On this occasion, most of the complaints were for illegal recruitment, as the road map was not completed.

From the Ministry they indicate that surveillance and control campaigns are essential to ensure that the different operators comply with the sector regulations.

Something that seems to be insufficient since taxi drivers complain every day about the breach of the regulations by Uber and Cabify.
