A SAMSUNG announced, this Monday (2), the launch of the 57-inch version of the Odyssey Neo G9, monitor the player with unusual curvature. Revealed on the eve of CES extension 2023, the giant display has a “dual UHD” resolution, which corresponds to 7,680 x 2,160 pixels. The new device has quantum technology Mini LEDs and will be presented together with other devices of the ViewFinity and Smart Monitor lines. There is no release date or price announced for the products yet.
According to the South Korean manufacturer’s official website, the Odyssey Neo G9 is a gaming monitor with a 1000R curved screen, 32:9 aspect ratio and contrasting pattern. HDR 1,000 from VESA, which promises to provide higher definition for black and white, with better detail in both shadowy and bright scenes. Furthermore, the display has a technology that is supposed to reduce light reflection.
The device supports the refresh rate of 240Hz, twice the 120Hz common in high-end gaming monitors until recently. The device has a connection DisplayPort 2.1, which promises to transfer data about twice as fast as the 1.4 standard. A version of the same monitor 49 inches in size was launched in Brazil in May 2022 for R$13,999.

Among the other monitors that will be shown at CES 2023 is the Odyssey OLED G9, which is 49 inches in size, has a curved screen, the same 32:9 aspect ratio and response time of 0.1 ms as the main attractions. According to the brand’s official page, it runs at a dynamic contrast of 1,000,000:1.
In addition to this, Samsung will also exhibit the ViewFinity S9, a 27-inch monitor designed for professional use, with a 99% color gamut and 5K resolution. To top it off, the M8 Smart Monitor got a new 27-inch version. The display already comes with app from stream installed, like Netflix and Amazon Prime videosand it was only available in 32 inches.
