5 settings you should immediately adjust on your iPhone

The iPhone is of course a beautiful and handy device. However, it can be just a little nicer if you make a few changes.

The iPhone is, of course, known for its performance. However, the iOS operating system should really be forgotten. Because device and software are attuned to each other, it achieves special performance. The settings also contain a number of useful functions that make your iPhone even better.

Tracken van iPhone-apps

Many apps and services track you and you may not want that. For example, they collect data to provide you with tailor-made advertisements. You can easily prevent this to a large extent via your settings. To do this, go to settings>privacy>tracking. By unchecking the function you will not be bothered by it. You can also choose to give access to certain apps, but the big question is why you would do that.

Light and Dark Mode

When you turn on your iPhone for the first time, it will automatically be in the light theme. Still, many people (myself included) prefer to display the menus and all pages in black. This gives your eyes a little more rest, even if it is not at night. To apply this go to settings>display and brightness. There you can choose whether you only want light or dark, or whether you only want the mode to change at sunrise and sunset.

Stop unknown callers

Nothing is more annoying than a stranger who calls you and who you are not waiting for. Fortunately, you can avoid this annoyance by keeping unknown callers silent on your iPhone. To do this, go to settings>phone>silence unknown callers. If you then check this function, you will only receive calls from contacts, people you’ve called before and calls via Siri suggestions. People who call you and don’t belong here don’t get this. For them, the phone just rings. The callers are forwarded to voicemail and appear in recent. This way you can still see who called you.

Tap the back of your iPhone

Nowadays you can also tap the back of your iPhone to give a command. For example, you can take a screenshot in a very easy way. To enable this, go to settings>accessibility>touch>tap on back. There you can select what you want to happen when you tap the back of your device two or three times.

Focus

Since iOS 15 you have the option to focus to use. This makes it even easier to choose from whom you want to receive notifications and when. If you do certain things. For example, you can choose when you can disturb your sleep, but also at adjusted moments such as driving, gaming and reading.
