Nvidia now announces that it will no longer release the 12 gigabyte version of the Geforce RTX 4080, it reports Involve.
Last month, Nvidia showed its new Geforce RTX 40 series which, among other things, contained two separate 4080 cards, one 12 gigabyte and one 16 gigabyte.
According to Nvidia, the decision is due to the fact that the low-end card has been “misnamed” and confuses consumers with two different RTX 4080 models.
It is currently unclear whether the 12 gigabyte version of the Geforce RTX 4080 will be relaunched under a different name.
