This medieval event, which is the largest historic event in France in number of participants (1,500 costumed speakers) returns every two years to the city of the popes. The 85 historical reconstruction troops come from all over Europe to participate in the festival which brings together Viking camps, then from the 13th to the 17th century (pirates).
To give an overview of the day on Sunday, 1,000 stakeholders, led by Patrick Duval, the party’s great orchestrator, will parade in costumes and weapons, Saturday October 12, in the streets of the city center. They will leave at 2:30 p.m. from the tourist office to go up rue de la République to Place de l’Horloge and the Papal Palace.
