Number of Appointments Testing for Access Tripled | Inland

In the week from Monday 20 to Sunday 26 September 211,000 appointments were booked. The busiest day was Saturday, September 25, with 108,000 appointments. A week earlier, the agency took about 65,000 tests.

The large increase can be explained logically, since a corona ticket has been requested since last weekend for, among other things, a visit to the catering industry, the theater or the cinema. Anyone who does not have a vaccination or recovery certificate should be tested.

Such a negative test is then valid for 24 hours after collection. Testing for the corona pass only takes place at Testing for Access. The GGD emphasizes only taking tests for people who have complaints.

More than 120 test locations were deployed this weekend, including 6 XL locations and two new locations on Vlieland and Schiermonnikoog. This enabled 99 percent of the Netherlands to reach a test location within 30 minutes, according to the organization. In addition, a new location in Oostburg (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen) opened on Sunday and a test location in Winterswijk will be opened this week.
