At first glance, the visual differences with the standard model seem limited, until you pull out a magnifying glass and notice the aerodynamic fine-tuning. The similarities with the C8.R, the racing version of the Chevrolet Corvette that recently entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans, are obvious. But without exaggerating, because the spoiler work remains modest.
The biggest news is of course under the hood, because between the rear wheels lies an all-new 5.5 liter V8 with a flat crankshaft – the regular Corvette C8 sticks to a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8. The engine would combine a peak power of 625 hp with a maximum torque of 650 Nm, which should be enough to accelerate the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and to reach a top speed of about 300 km/h. to give.
