The Ministry of Health of New Lion reported this morning that there are five confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state.
At a press conference, Manuel de la O Cavazos, Secretary of Health, specified that it is a 27-year-old man, who traveled to Spain from March 4 to 10.
“Yesterday we had four, today we have five. This is a 27-year-old male patient, who traveled to Spain from March 4 to 10 and presented with characteristic symptoms of the disease: fever, sore throat, cough.”
He added that the young man went to a private hospital to undergo the test, whose price in these places ranges from 1,500 to 5,000 pesos, and the health agency confirmed that it was another case of Covid-19.
The patient is in isolation at home, so they ruled out that he remain in a hospital. The secretary did not confirm the municipality where the fifth patient lives and stated that only his wife has had contact with him.
At the cut of 9:00 p.m. yesterday, the Ministry of Health reported 600 total cases in the country, of which 41 are confirmed, 404 negatives and 155 suspects.
The situation of the 46-year-old patient who remains delicate due to Covid-19, who is hospitalized in a private hospital, has evolved favorably.
“I was pleased because it is evolving favorably, and it must be said that it is going to move forward,” he said.
The official urged not to self-medicate and go to the doctor in case of respiratory symptoms. And regarding events such as weddings, parties or xv years he urged the population not to cancel them.
