Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov said that the Russian Federation on the eve of the elections “is building a system for spreading its separatist sentiment” in the south of Ukraine.
He said this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power”, writes TSN.
He noted that local authorities should also fight the propaganda of the Russian Federation locally.
“At a press conference, a girl asked me a question about deployment of the Russian network in Nikolaev… The mayor of the city says: “I cannot influence anything.” You know, this is such a strange position! “Danilov said.
According to him, “everyone should understand what is happening in the modern world today, from the deputy of the village, settlement, city council to the mayor of a city like Nikolaev.”
“Friends, come to your senses! Russia is an aggressor country. Any person who starts here to unfold and influence the elections … We must stop all this in the bud,” the official continued.
He added that since 1994 he has been observing Russian influence in his native Luhansk.
