Holder in attack alongside Garbiel “Gabigol” Barbosa, Neymar signed a great performance by scoring the second goal with a cross shot outside the opponent’s area (68th). He is also involved in the last two achievements of his team. He first shifted Richarlison, decisive passer for Everton Ribeiro (88th) before finding a new decisive shift in a touch of the ball for Roberto Firmino at the origin of the last goal scored by Richarlison (93rd).
Nine lengths from Pelé’s record
The PSG striker, who sported a new hairstyle with dyed blond hair, marks a very noticed start to the competition. He had already scored in the first easy victory of the Seleçao against a decimated Venezuela team (3-0). His new achievement allows him to approach nine lengths of Pelé’s goal record with the Seleçao (77 goals).
